How does forward plate compactor work?

The forward plate compactor works on the same principle as the larger roller compactor. Two key criteria affect the compaction depth of the machine-centrifugal force and frequency-and they work together to produce a consistent compaction force. The centrifugal force powers the flat plate compactor. It is produced when the weight in the eccentric housing in the flat plate compactor rotates to increase the force transmitted to the material through the flat plate.

Frequency simply refers to the speed at which the weight of the forward plate compactor rotates, in units of vibrations per minute (VPM). People may think that the higher the frequency, the greater the pressure, but in fact the opposite is true. The low-frequency model is very suitable for compacting medium and thick layers of material, while the high-frequency model is good at compacting thin layers.
