How to choose between gas and electric high pressure washer?
When choosing between gas and electric pressure washers, it is important to consider your needs, as well as the pros and cons of each option.
Electric pressure washers are safe to use indoors because you don't have harmful smoke. Electric high pressure washers are usually quieter and require less maintenance than gas pressure washer. Also, with electric pressure washer, you don't have to keep gas on hand or fight rising fuel prices.
With portable gas pressure washer, you have several different options when choosing an engine. In addition, gas pressure washers do not require power cords, which in turn allows for more portability.
Which is more important, PSI or GPM?
When choosing pressure cleaner, PSI and GPM are both important.
PSI (pounds per square inch) refers to the amount of cleaning pressure a device can generate.
GPM (gallons per minute) is the amount of water coming from the unit.
Cleaning Units (CU) is the result of multiplying PSI by GPM. Cleaning units provide customers with a measure of a unit's performance (efficiency) in order to compare one unit to another. Cleaning units are calculated by multiplying PSI and GPM.
E.g:
Pressure washer with 3000 PSI and 2.0 GPM has 6000 cleaning units.
Pressure washer with 2000 PSI and 3.0 GPM also has 6000 cleaning cells, but with more flushing capacity than stripping.
